Ha ha, me neither and I can't even bear to watch someone put in contacts
Anything to do with putting something in the eyes...makes me a bit freaked out
Gory surgery shows, rats/mice, spiders, snakes, heights, etc are all just fine but none of this eye stuff for me.
Gah, I am so sorry that I clicked on that story now and saw those pictures!
WTF is wrong with people wanting to voluntarily put a needle anywhere near their eye? I would probably literally kill someone if they came within 10 feet of my eye with a needle
Do you really need that explained or are you just messing with people?
It should be obvious to an intelligent person who has a vague idea of what Charles Darwin did that it is this person who might need an explanation, which is why I asked her/him those specific questions.

No. That's not correct.
Who was Darwin? What did he do? Why is the "award" named after him?
Invoking Poe's law here, we cannot tell if you are writing in satire or actually wondering about the Darwin Award as it applies here. There is an internet meme about 25 years old that stupid people seem to get filtered out of the gene pool by doing things that get them killed. Part of the popular interpretation of Darwin's thoughts on evolution is that the animals that evolve with bad genetic variations will die off and not have progeny. You can look it up.
