It sounds like just another day in Homewood. The crime rate there is very high--about 4 times higher than the national or state average.

Sounds like a good example of America 2017. We're inching our way down to the level of living like rabid dogs.

At the end of the day, that is about the gist of the story. A 4 year old is just riding along and BOOM, dead. What happened to the days when two men fought in a bar, shook hands, had a shot together and went on with the evening? I realize this is inner-city stuff in a crime area, but still, setting fire to a home with a 4 year old in it?

It is beyond terrible. I just cant stop seeing where people on this board are ok with some murders and not others. How do they choose?

A baby dying in fire is the worst. I do hope the arsonist spends his life behind bars. I don't want people walking the street who has the ability to be so evil.

You have to pick your battles carefully.

Some folks are ALL-IN

Never write a check with your mouth, that your body can't cash. And that includes your loved ones.

Forgive, walk away.

And look forward to a blessed 2018

The arsonist boasted while watching the house burn; ''Yep, yep, I did it, they shouldn't **** with me.''
His girlfriend, who was also charged, said ''I don't give a ****'' about the childs death.

What is wrong with these people?
