Shane Missler, 20, wins $450 MILLION Mega Millions | Daily Mail Online

A 20-year-old Florida man has stepped forward as the lone winner of the $450 million Mega Millions jackpot from the January 5 drawing.

Shane Missler will take the a lump sum payout of $281.2 million.

One week ago, at 11:33 on Friday night, minutes after the drawing, the young man put on Facebook, simply: Oh. My. God.
Congratulations! Put the principal in the bank and live off the interest. Too many winners don't know how to manage money and go bankrupt.

Won't he have to pay some taxes on the lump sum?

I don't agree with these huge payouts. There is no reason any human should suddenly acquire that much money. I think the cap should be much, much lower, and have more people win. Twenty-two people could have won $20 million each in this case.

Which is why God created pre-nup agreements baby!

They sort of read like the Bible; as thou brought nothing into this house, ye shall surely take nothing out!

I'm 22 and a minimalist to some extent, even if I won 10 million dollars I would be set for life.

I have no desire to buy 20 cars or a huge mansion, I just want to travel and eat a lot.

You do understand how a lottery/game of chance works right?

Sadly, that is a common fate for the winners of large fortunes.
Worse, from this day forward, all his new acquaintances will be suspect.
