If you knew 100% it was pot? Well..while you truly do not need them there, its not unreasonable to do so to keep parents who are worried a little less terrified. Yeah if they're needed elsewhere they should go-but that's only if you could be 100% sure. And they just couldn't be.
I think its also important to have medical documentation in case there is a DFS or legal case that may come from this.

From what I see in the story, school officials had no way to be sure what the problem actually was until the paramedics were called in. Even if they could connect it to the gumdrops, they would not have the expertise to determine exactly what it was (and children respond differently from adults to many drugs).

In the day and age of kids eating Tide Pods, it's a good thing it wasn't Tide Pods the kids ingested. Instead, they get a nice nap for a while.

LOL how crazy.

Loved this part. It's just weed, OF COURSE THEY RECOVERED. So stupid how they act as if they drank a whole bottle of arsenic/bleach lol.
I don't see anything funny about it, I'd be furious.

Calling the paramedics was an appropriate reaction. How anyone argues against that is mind blowing to me.

Anyone see the difference between a 9 year old child accidently taking a mind altering substance and a grown person choosing to ingest it knowing the effects? The kids reported not being able to see and dizziness...they must have been scared. I would have been.

A lot of dumb people in this world. How being outraged that paramedics were even in the picture when kids were going blind is beyond me...

I have CBD gummies (no THC) and they are disgusting.

I don't think paramedics were overkill. It was better to be 100% safe, especially since they could have also contained something much worse
