Who wants to bet this wouldn't be news if it hadn't happened at Starbucks?

Evidence needs tested. Then proceed to court if such is necessary.

I've traveled the world and witnessed customs where natives didn't die or become deathly ill when consuming some questionable foods. Particularly in the way it's prepared. But droplets of blood in a drink certainly deserves concern for a human. Protein in the diet can be had in other ways.

I get squirlly around bloody beef or chicken that is served. Yet some folks have a hankering for that style.

I think Starbuck's should at least pay for any medical testing they needed. They could have contracted Hep C or HIV from drinking someone else's blood.

The drinks at Starbuck's are expensive, too. For what you pay, you'd expect better service, not a bloody cup of coffee. If they wore gloves this wouldn't have happened.

I also find a some of the baristas at Starbuck's to be quite rude. There is one Starbuck's in my area I don't patronize anymore due to a rude female barista.

That undoubtedly would have avoided any lawsuit!
I don't think they want that, are they suing for a million dollars? Has anyone heard?

I've never seen baristas wearing gloves. They handle food with their hands so it would be a little over the top to expect that.

I don't think it's over the top to expect it. The servers at Subway make sandwiches with gloves on.

Because they are handling food with their hands. Baristas don't touch food with their hands.

Really, must everyone judge parents so much. Lets judge the employee that bled into their drinks.
Seriously. I'm not a fan of sugar but we're literally reading about BLOOD in a drink but everyone's concern is caffeine and sugar.

Except that in the case of the dog bite, you are entitled to the owner of the dog paying your medical bills and damages if the dog was not on a leash or under their control. That's not ambulance chasing, that's called in the legal world "being made whole." You're entitled to that, clear and simple.

Let's hope the barista's blood sugar wasn't high or we'd REALLY have something to worry about.
