Sigh. I remember Ginger. Even an imitation of her would get my motor running.

How come there are no Gingers these days? All these Madisons and Brooklyns. But no Jeffersons or Clevelands. Then there are the red-state names: Brandi, Destiny, Stormi, Cloudy, Windy, Rainy. But no Brainy.

My mom was named Dot. My aunts were Grace, Helen, Lily, Olive, Violet, and Hope.

No Hope today. Just Destiny. There’s a lesson there.
