truly believe that it was only a matter of time before something like this happened, and although I have a very low opinion of Ms. Richards, I blame Dr. Phil and his staff even more for either being so gullible or taking something as trashy and self-serving as this and exploiting it for ratings.

Blame? Isn't that what these types of talk shows are supposed to do? Like you know, to entertain the masses.
Way back decades ago, Dr. Phil was reliable. That was decades ago.
After the Natalee Holloway thing, where he obtained secretly recorded tapes of the Kalpoe brothers and obviously doctored them to incriminate them, he lost all credibility.
I think he should have lost his show, and maybe even been prosecuted for tampering with falsifying criminal evidence.
LOL notwithstanding the merits (or none) of the show, secretly-recorded tapes are nothing new. And stating that tapes were "obviously doctored," is merely your opinion.
I'm not surprised. I have watched YouTube videos of people who were on Dr.Phil and they have hinted around about a lot of it being "dramatized". There's also people who turned it down once they realized they would have to lie and act a certain way.
But, there are people like her on YouTube and in society. So I also wouldn't be surprised if she does hate her own race or has these feelings to a degree. It can be hard at time to tell who really believes what they are saying and who is saying it for the views/clicks/attention.
Sometimes I don't like us either. But I saw this and just couldn't watch it all the way through. She sounded like a damn fool.
Dr. Phil has become the new Jerry Springer as of late. I watch the episodes and some seem pretty genuine but some of them I can tell are manufactured or seem off to me (i.e. this episode with the girl who thought she was white when she was black, the way she talked was funny/off the whole ep, it almost seemed staged/scripted, whether by the girl herself or with Dr. Phil's coercion). Can't lie though, the show is still fun / interesting to watch at times.
