An Austin woman was jailed on a manslaughter charge after accidentally shooting her boyfriend while posing for a photo, officials said.
Autumn Ravonne King, 20, was arrested Monday in Pflugerville in the Dec. 23 death of Eric Charles Allen, 26.
King told officials she was posing for a Snapchat photo with a rifle aimed directly at Allen, who was about to take the photo. She said she accidentally pulled the trigger, fatally wounding Allen.
The Travis County medical examiner's office ruled the death a homicide, and the cause of death the gunshot wound.
King and Allen were living in a home in North Austin at the time. The shooting took place just after noon in the home, where two small children were also present, police said.King is being held in the Travis County Jail on $200,000 bail.
The Travis County medical examiner's office ruled the death a homicide, and the cause of death the gunshot wound.
Note that this is a completely technical finding and not a criminal charge. If you are attacked by a total madman in front of a thousand witnesses and you shoot him, it would be the same finding.
