I think that in the end our greatest strength, curiosity, will win the day. Build a dock with a house that is fireproof and bullet proof for example. One end of the dock goes to the beach the other is accessible by boat. Keep some qualified person there at all times. Jane Goodall did something harder with Chimpanzees, a different species from us.

Build that dock and I bet it won't be long before somebody comes walking down it to see what's up. We have people that know how to do it.
They shoot arrows and throw spears at anyone who approaches, even at helicopters.

Thanks - I had checked, the spelling, but quickly forgot it.

I'm no authority on them, but humans are humans.

I think all those that he bribed to help him in his journey need to be prosecuted.

Apparently suicide by cop has become too banal. This kicked it up a notch.

Joe, how would you teach them, seeing how there is no way to communicate? Also, lets assume you find this imaginary interpreter, as soon as you rowed out to the island, they would be killed. What if you talk to them and they reject your demand to acquiesce to your western values? Would you punish them? Imprison them? Kill them?

Again, all your solutions are either implausible, imaginary or lead to their destruction.

List of offences by Chau

1) Chau was on a Tourist Visa. There is a separate Missionary Visa from Indian Government for people interested in proselyting activities. Visitors on Tourist Visa can be arrested and deported if found involved in Missionary activities without proper visa. This person broke another law.

Yes an American Citizen needs a visa to enter many countries like India. His Passport does not give him Right to do anything his mind can think of.

2) Breaching the Prevention of Abroginal Tribe Regulation which strictly prohibits any contact whatsoever with Sentinilese people.

3) Violation of 3 km Restricted Area permit around North Sentinel Island where entry is prohibited.

His church and the money trail which involves bribe to Fisherman will be investigated by Police. Sadly because of actions by this idiot, there are talks about Ban on entry for future American Tourists to Andaman & Nicobar Islands.
