I've been repeating the old "Ole and Lena" jokes for years (Dad's family came from west central Wisconsin) - is it true about the natural animosity between Norwegians and Swedes? And if so, why?
As in, "Every year, the Norwegians throw firecrackers across the border at the Swedes. The Swedes light them and throw them back".

One of our Swedish clan married a Norwegian and never heard the end of it.
