Wonder who the heck wrote that tweet? Some rapper?
But calling her "thicc" would be a compliment, not a criticism... guys who use that term generally love their women being "thicc".

She is cute like a morbidly obese pug dog. I've watched documentaries on sea otters and I've even seen them in person. And Abby is NOT what a healthy sea otter should look like. She's even bigger than if she were a normal pregnancy weight. The aquarium should be ashamed of feeding her so much.

The aquarium has said she is of normal weight, its just the way she is sitting that makes her look larger then she is.

Like that has stopped the poachers. Just recently the giraffe is now on the endangered species, and the funny thing, a few months ago a dentist went on a safari to hunt a giraffe and everyone was like, "it's fine, it helps with the conservation efforts", and well, obviously it's not helping.

Anyways, I think this otter is just the cutest thing.

I only know 'chonk' because I have teenagers. They sent me this graphic for cats a while back. https://knowyourmeme.com/memes/chonk-oh-lawd-he-comin

My kids have been trying to educate me 'in the language of '"my"' people'. Urban dictionary helps with explanations a lot.

Context matters. This giraffe "hunt" (no I don't agree with targeted guided sport shooting even if it happens to be biologically acceptable) was supposedly to cull an overly aggressive old bull that was preventing younger healthier bulls from breeding. The intent was also to diversify the genetic population by allowing more males to breed instead of this one dominant bull who had most likely fathered the cows. Whether the huge fees generated by this permit hunt actually benefited game conservation or not is certainly debatable.

A phrase important to remember; "the devil's in the details". What we think of as "giraffe" actually consists of several subspecies. Not all of them are endangered or even threatened. It matters which one you are talking about. Their situations are not the same and neither should management of them be.

I read that she is hefty because it’s normal for them to gain weight for winter or it’s the way she is laying. Hope the aquarium is taking good care of her, she is such a cutie.
