This kind of describes some of the liberal and conservative talking points, especially those of Trump, at times. Thank you for the vocabulary link.

Umm, how can I ponder a story that hasn’t been written?

Seems pretty clear to me what the OP is saying: he's celebrating a reduction in fire deaths at Christmas. Regardless of why this reduction has come about, fewer holiday fatalities is certainly something worth celebrating.

Make that FOUR super egg nogs, three slices of rum soaked fruit cake and six of those chocolates (Ethel M) filled with liqueur.

It really isn't that hard to understand.

No, the OP was attempting to postulate WHY there are fewer fire deaths at Christmas, and that’s where he lost everyone.

Feel free to summarize for those of us who don’t get it. Perhaps you’ll have better luck.

So true. I just read about a case the last day or two. And yes a poor minority woman with a ton of kids now deceased.

LOL. Good one. Posters who do this need to realize we can't sift through your verbosity to get your point. Which is probably somewhere "down there".

Sure.

Minority single mothers were disproportionately roasting their children alive on Christmas morning in the 50s and 60s because they weren't smart enough to properly put up a tree. Instead, they had to shoddily improvise one, and they were probably too stupid to water it. Thanks to social and technological progress, journalism, increased access to education, and expanded employment opportunities, these stories no longer sadden our Christmas mornings to any significant extent. We have come so far, and it warms the heart greatly.

Instead, we get stories about children dying in federal custody on Christmas morning.
