Why is he getting crowns when he still has his baby teeth and is going to lose those teeth anyway?
Absolutely.
I would throw the dentist in jail for what he did along with the parents. Negligence on both parties. I would make them share a cell. And weld the door shut
Who the F puts crowns on a baby. Is a baby. They don’t need crowns. God damn Ahole mentally stunted parents and dentist. Probably wanted the baby with perfect teeth.
My dog has to have her teeth cleaned every couple years. Cost me $450. She consumes only a very good grade dog food, with an occasional chicken breast.
I had a dog that never required a dental in 10 years. Gorgeous teeth. Ok breath, too. Not a big chewer, did not like those nylabone, etc.
I had a dog whose teeth were nasty from a young age.
I have a dog who requires a yearly dental to remain decent as she's gotten past middle age. And I have a dog who can go a couple years bc she loves those nylabones.
No difference in brushing their teeth.
ALL THE SAME BREED OF DOG.
So every person and every dog, etc, is different.
I have noticed a pattern in certain ethnic groups and propensity to have a lot of dental work done at an early age (like I see a disproportionate amount of these kids with giant cavities or metal in their mouths) - might be diet/dental hygiene practices or it might be genetic.
Sounds like parents are negligent first, dental office second.
I don't know how anyone would conclude that.
Are parents supposed to know more about anesthesia and dentistry than the dentist?
Of course not. The dentist receives years of training and is supposed to be able to tell patients (and their families) what is reasonably safe and what is not.
I've run into unethical dentists. One was a major crook and others covered for him. It cost me $30,000 to fix up what the guy did to me, and the board didn't even slap him on the wrist. There is not proper oversight of dentists. That's what I am taking from this story.
Sounds like parents are negligent first, dental office second.
Wrong. Doesn't mean the parents are bad. Some people even kids just have bad teeth an genes.
I get cavities very easily. My family has had a lot of work done on their teeth. I just wouldn't let my child get anything done. I don't trust dentists. They are only toddlers!
This reaffirms my belief do not have children unless you have LOTS OF MONEY (and high quality health insurance to see INDEPENDENT well reviewed and respected healthcare providers)
Sounds like parents are negligent first, dental office second.
I think the parents were not informed. And maybe not educated enough to seek a second opinion and do a little more research. They trusted too easily.
So very sad. RIP sweet baby!
