A mother who lost her son two years ago due to an accidental overdose believes his apparition appeared on her security camera to let her know he was “happy.”
Jennifer Hodge of Atlanta, Ga., was in bed watching TV with her 21-year-old daughter Lauren when she received an alert from her Nest camera, which is triggered by movement and noise, that a “person” was “spotted” in the entryway last week.
I always wondered if apparitions like this was from residual energy from a past timeline, being seen when conditions are somehow right. Maybe the wavelength of this energy is more easily picked up by cameras. There are similar stories with the Kinect device.
Did she really see her son's ghost? Who knows, but if this brought this woman comfort then I am so happy for her. I cannot imagine the pain of losing a child.

Unfortunately her son died of an overdose. The picture was fuzzy; it wasn't a clear picture. My thinking is that her son could have owed money for the drugs he was taking. Instead of thinking this was a supernatural event; I would be quick to check and see if anything was missing. I am glad that she feels her son is still with her; I just hope her son's problems are still not with her.
Someone on the "Paranormal" forum here had an interesting explanation, for cameras that seem to record "ghosts", and animals that bark or whimper at things we can't see. Also, it was pointed out that some small children can see things older people can't. The poster said that these apparitions are outside the light spectrum that our eyes are able to perceive. So if they're just outside our perceptual field, they could be within animals' vision spectrum.
That could explain why cameras can record half-transparent apparitions. Any maybe some very young children can also perceive things outside a normal human spectrum, but their vision narrows as they get a little older. IDK. Or maybe they become acculturated to filter out those apparitions.
Kind of intriguing, though. The poster included photo illustrations. They convinced me!
