Umm, would anyone like to know, before judging her, what events led to the outburst?
Have you known any mentally ill people? This is how they act sometimes. I have a friend who I'm pretty sure likes to skip her medication so she can drink, and I've seen her melt down like this and accuse a stranger of having raped her sister, and a man next to us of slapping his wife (he was packing a pack of cigarettes on his wrist). Of course I learned never to take her to a bar again after that, although she still tries to get me to.
Healthy frustrated passengers don't start calling people rapists and yelling about having guns when all they want is to get on their flight.
The video shows her walking away peacefully-- so why did a deputy accost her and handcuff her? Looks like the matter is defused. No indication that she had any priors, so apparently any previous outbursts resulted in no harm to the general public, to whom she is not a danger..
No word about why she missed her original flight, which might have made her already angry with somebody esle, nor about whether the airline tried to resolve her issue, or just insisted that rules are rules.
If "This is how they act sometimes", airlines better learn how to deal with it.
