Never understood how Americans got so prudish and puritanical on this topic. My wife and I go overseas enough and we love beaches. Seeing (mostly) Europeans topless is omni present. My goodness, it's really no big deal.
All the young Yanks are so liberal and progressive but they hold on to puritanical views. Never understood it....

Since our founders fought a war to be independent from England they probably also would've rolled their eyes at people who had a fetish for Europe's supposedly elevated sense of morality. Might've even offered them free passage across the pond. Or some of them would've anyway. They were no more monolithic of mind and viewpoint than those wretched American prudes of today or those delightfully "free of sexual hangups" European folks from the land of the burkini who so many seem to admire but have no desire to live with for some reason.
I wasn't talking about morality or nudity. There was a poster who stated that complaining about American prudishness was "America bashing" and seemed to feel complaining about something one doesn't like to see in their country is somehow un-American. It's actually the opposite.
