The first question I think everyone will have is, "how do you get in it"?

Answer has to do with some kind of a spiral staircase underwater and a door designed like a submarine's door.

Someone's going to down the first week this thing is open.

Or someone will fall off it.

No how, no way. One little crack in that plexiglass wall, and all the water and all the swimmers go rushing out like a burst dam, plunging 55 stories to their doom. And if that submarine-like staircase gets jammed, then what? How do you get out?

I don't know. All kinds of awful possibilities.

What if a lightening storm comes up unexpectedly and there are 30 swimmers? Seems impossible to quickly evacuate the pool.

I wonder if it actually will ever be built. The insurance would be astronomical.

Yeah my first thought was having to be airlifted from the pool due to a staircase malfunction.

And how would you get someone out of there who has a health issue - a heart attack, asthma attack, and probably most common, a panic attack? They have to swim through a tunnel to get out of the pool.

I would think panic attacks would be exceptionally common. You're 55 stories up, and the illusion is that there are no walls/boundaries.

Even picturing it gives me anxiety!

Companies sometimes show renderings of things that never get built just to get some publicity.

Another pool in London called the Skypool, is being built at Battersea, opposite the new US Embassy in London.

Below is a story about a somewhat similar pool atop an apartment building in Downtown Houston. It has a section jutting out from the building that is made of glass.

Yeah with that infinity pool there’s no dry spot to give CPR should someone need it. It probably won’t be approved. Who am I to say.

I can picture myself in that sky pool, swimming to the other side and then being afraid to swim back lol.
