My technique was to bring those little one ounce bottles of vodka on board - perfectly legal as long as they fit in your one quart zip lock. THen I'd order orange juice for free. You can figure the rest out.
Actually no that is not legal. It's actually against federal law to consume alcohol you bring on board yourself.

I think its great that a passenger quoted expressed hope that the flight attendant NOT be fired, that she get into a treatment program if there is an addiction problem. There is hope for those with addictions. Nice to see people still feel and express support for their fellow human beings.

Her BAC was over .20. That wasn't her first drunken rodeo, and co-workers and supervisors had to know it. Maybe the pilots as well. Everyone covers for everyone else. That's pretty darned scary.

Considering that one normal drink (12 oz beer) gives us a BAC of .02... and our bodies are capable of burning off .02 per hour, she consumed equivalent of 11 alcoholic drinks in an hour. Nobody can do that and still remain conscious without having a tolerance for the stuff.

Better than the pilot being drunk.....

Delta pilot arrested before FUI ----flying while intoxicated-----

…"investigating authorities reportedly found an "alcoholic container" in Schroeder's possession, and other employees said they could smell booze on him."

^You're living in the Dark Ages.

Many flight attendants are middle-aged and that's been the demographic for some time now.

That is the disturbing part about it. This is a lot bigger problem, then just one drunk flight attendant. They need to investigate how she was able to even get on that plane in that condition. But I suspect they won't. They will just fire her, and that will be the end of it.

People sneak drinks, use pills and coke is common in jobs that require long hours, little sleep and concentration. Not all are addicts. Some use occasionally and live normal lives. I get suspicious of those who claim to be teetotalers or act like goody two shoes, many of these folks are secret wildmen/women. Picture perfect at work, wakes up in dumpsters with no pants on weekends.
