My teen daughter told me about it. I asked who he was. She said a comic strip. I didn't realize they were talking about this guy who I do recognize. I'm not sure what the story is here, but maybe they've decided Mr. Peanut no longer reflects current culture especially if no one knows who he is. I guess I'll be awaiting the full story and watch his funeral at the Super Bowl.

We used to go to the Steel Pier in Atlantic City once or twice every summer. There was alway someone in a Mr Peanut costume in front of their store on the boardwalk. Must have been hot in there.
Mr. Peanut clearly represented "the man" being a white, classist (monocle! seriously?) male.
We live in a diverse, mixed-nuts world, time for a more inclusive representative.
