The prosecutor could not prove it was sexual motivation without some other evidence such as child porn. The defendant could say he had some other reason to do that we know why but can it be proven. I think the best they could do was at least get him out of law enforcement.
I didn't read it all someone told me he had come back a 2nd time noticed the camera so that gave him the jump on the police get rid of his computer.
