Luckily she didn't die but it's never a good idea to chase after these types of crazies.

Houston pet store worker Alize James didn’t let fear stop her from clinging to the hood of a speeding car as thieves tried to escape with a $10,000 bulldog puppy.

“I could barely hold on,” James told NBC’s Dallas-Fort Worth affiliate on Tuesday, as seen in the video below. “I was so scared.”

The lady is a hero, but the way those thugs treated her, makes me fear for this puppy.

Please. Dogs sold in pet stores are hardly worth that much. I'd love to see that dog's pedigree.

Yeah, cause that's the important point of the story.

Without its paperwork, the dog is worth nothing. Cant be registered. No point in doing anything with it but returning it to the pet store. If they find a buyer, that buyer is going to want the dog's papers, which for some reason they failed to get. I mean, it was a nice ruse to flee the store, but the papers are the most valuable part of any animal sale.

If this happened with a diamond ring (which it wouldnt because no jeweler is going to leave you alone with a $10,000 ring) they would have something because you dont need paperwork from that store to prove the stone's value.

If the puppy really was that valuable, Im sure it was insured.

I highly doubt the woman risked her life clinging to the car because of the value of the puppy. I’m sure she was trying to save it from being in the hands of bad people for the sake of the puppy itself. Poor little thing. I think she’s pretty brave actually and clearly feels a strong sense of responsibility for the little babies in her charge.
