We are keeping the outside shoe outside of the house. The groceries go straight to the garage where we sort out the fruits and vegetables and frozen food. Fruits and vegetable are soaked in water and vinger and frozen food boxes are thrown in the trash and the pacets inside go straight to refrigerator. Other thingsare either washed or decontaminated through a disinfectant spray. Living alone cuts down a lot of presuure of decontamination process. wash your hands and disinfect the things you brought from outside and thats it. Trying to disinfect everything is over indulgence.

The CDC's website says that there has been no documented evidence that Covid19 can be spread through contact with a Fomite, or an object of transmission. The "Germ Guy" , Jason Tetro and an article by MIT Technology review say the same thing. Still I know these findings are not conclusive yet because this is a new virus and I assume testing is ongoing. So I will continue to be cautious about what I have touched outside my home. The Germ Guy guys says after a few hours Covid19 begins to degrade.

I would be wary about going into any places that have a characteristic smell. Odors are airborne bacteria and a smell means the air flow is not moving air out of a room or building fast enough to be safe from Covid 19 transmission.

I live in an apartment condominium and I Lysol the outside and inside door handle of my unit door and the lock, making sure that no disinfectant goes into the lock itself. I do not want to transfer germs from the hallway (someone may have sneezed) side of the door to my key which is inside my purse.

My house is always pretty clean so there' s not much extra to do except for cleaning off counter tops after I go shopping and bags are thrown away. I clean door handles and light plates once/week, too. Takes me 5 minutes.
