A 13-year old boy in a Seattle suburb shot and killed a random 35-year old man walking down the street whom he had never met before and had nothing to do with because "he felt like doing it". He saw him walking, approached him from behind, and shot him in the back of the head.
I usually believe in rehabilitation over incarceration and am against trying kids as adults except in the most extreme cases, but I really think this is an exceptional case. 20-30 years, no probation, at the minimum. What do you think?
Unless you have a locking safe, you can't keep kids out of ANYTHING. It's just the way they are.
Too bad he didn't shoot himself instead. Sad but true!
That's why you need some type of gun safe when you have kids of all ages in the house.

The Japanese are huge video game players, yet they have a fraction of the murders.
Murders overall are way down compared to their peaks in the 70s and 80's, and that was long before video games.
Finally, humans have been murdering each other since the first human, from small scale like this kid, to massive industrialized killing like the Nazis. Fact is, many humans are just scum, video games have nothing to do with that.

He can have rehab once he brings that man back to life. Fair is fair.
The parents should be jailed. What a complete utter failure of a couple of human beings.
Why in the world should the parents be jailed? Where does it say they were at fault. I think more info is needed before we say, "jail the parents".....
