I've realized it's the new norm for a couple of years now. I think every year is going to get worse from here on in, and that we are past the point of no return. We set a record for tornado warnings in NJ this year already with 51, with a while still to go. The old record was last year, and it was 36. I don't ever remember tornados in NJ as a kid.
We had 23 people die in this storm due to flooding, cars getting caught in currents and swept away on normal highways nowhere near water. The worst hit at evening rush which didn't help.
