I hope you are right. It would be nice to NOT see more problems for people, less death and destruction.

New Orleans should be clear of the storm within an hour. Other areas still being hit hard. Storm is very slow moving and dropping much rain. One hospital lost a generator and had to move ICU patients in the stairwell to an area of the hospital that still had emergency power. State officials are rounding up large portable generators to move into the area after the storm passes to use for medical facilities in need.

Yep. I expect other areas to be hit harder than NO.

Oh no!! Hey, you are a moderator, can you edit my post and put NJ in there?

And I used to live in NEPA very close to NJ, there is no reason why I forgot... it's just my old fart brain.

You'd think watching the Weather Channel would be a respectable choice.
Good Grief!
Reporter on there , staggering around like he's going to be blown away and then people would show up in the background, just strolling along.
One guy even snuck behind him and did a cartwheel.....camera immediately cut out.

I saw the same on CNN. The reporter was Al Roker, dramatically struggling to stand upright in the wind, rain and rising flood waters... while a guy in a red shirt easily strolled down the street behind him on relatively dry land. Meanwhile, the female anchor Al was speaking to, repeatedly begged Al to grab onto a lamppost for support. Disgusting fake drama.

Here's another fake report with Al Roker. Pay close attention at the 51 mark. Watch the bystander in the background. While Roker struggles to remain in an upright position (because he's standing right next to the crashing waves), the bystander strolls up the beach.

This isn't the same news reel I saw earlier. Apparently the news media is creating the same fake drama wherever it goes.
As if Ida needs any help from fakers.

Power is out throughout New Orleans this morning. Only if you have a generator do you have any.
