Im a little upset at the attention this case is receiving, (Just because of the girls looks), it may sound cliche, but its so blatantly obvious.
I wonder who makes these decisions, when a girl first goes missing? Someone must look at a picture of the girl and determine whether she is cute enough to give media attention to her case.

Same reason why Trayvon Martin became a hot story. Just some cases spike an interest in people. And there is nothing wrong with that. I bet you were one of those types that got all ticked off when the news interrupted normal broadcasting to show the rescue of Jessica McClure.
And oh, this is what happens when 90 percent of the news is owned by only 5 companies.
So Norah O’Donnell of CBS News just said the WY coroner said COD was “manual strangulation and throttling”.
I have not heard the entire press release, did he say all that?

Official statement:
"Cause: Death by manual strangulation and throttling"
By the way, the coroner did throw a bit of shade at the whole proceedings.

The Wyoming coroner who revealed Gabby Petito's cause of death also said that the case became a "media circus."
"Unfortunately this is only one of many deaths around the country of people who are involved in domestic violence and it's unfortunate that these other deaths do not get as much coverage as this one," Teton County Coroner Brent Blue said during a Zoom press conference Tuesday.
It's already been mentioned multiple times, but the reason why the coroner didn't go into specifics is because Wyoming statutes only release manner and cause of death. That's what the coroner said repeatedly throughout the conference.
As far as that official statement, it looks like it was dated October 5th so a full week ago they knew it was homicide due to manual strangulation/throttling.
I'm not sure how they got that copy of the report as I thought reports were only released to next of kin.

The public decides which missing person cases go viral.

I noticed that too, the Oct 5th date. Isn’t Brian Entin the reporter who’s been in the Laundries’ yard this whole time?
I also wonder how he got ahold of that report.
