Well, I got to use one of those tests. On Wed, my throat was a little ticklish, and since I'd been around a LOT of people in the previous week, I decided to do a test, to...you know, maybe I'll get lucky.

The "C" line turned out beautiful. The "T" area was blank as the white space below this post.

Two years in, no covid yet.

We haven't received our home tests yet but I tested regularly at our state's free testing site since this whole thing started since we worked with the public every day. Plus I knew I had been exposed several times to people I had been with the day before they tested positive. Had negative PCR tests every time. I also thought I had it twice, but I've given blood and had the antibody tests which were negative.

So I'm also in the still covid free group.

I really appreciated our state's efforts to provide easy, free testing all over the state, 7 days a week.

We've had it twice. The first time in 2020 before testing and even masks were a thing and well before a vaccine. And then more recently with another variant - confirmed by a positive test.

The first time around was the worst but not as bad as a seasonal flu would be. The second time was a non event. It started out seeming like it could get bad but then the symptoms cleared right up.

How do you know you had Covid the first time before testing was a thing?

My guess is that they meant before home testing was a thing.

Exposure to someone with similar symptoms who wound up in Urgent Care being tested for it.

Widespread testing was not a thing a that time. But people sick enough to go to Urgent Care or ER were tested.

There were tests piled up to the timbers at my local drugstore, LOL.

Just $4.99 each! On special!

No takers.

It's over. Move on.

Yeah. In NYC you can pick up free at home tests at selected cultural places, libraries, etc. At first they were giving out only one per person. Now, they're giving out four at a time. I now have more at home covid tests than I know what to do with them.
