I don't know where you got that number but it's wrong. They have 4000 cars on that ship. And it is absolutely going to be more than a blip in the US market.

I need two links, or one link with both types of information:

I need to know how many cars Porsche produces each year (and if possible, which countries they are typically shipped to) and I need to know how many Porsches were on that ship. And I need links, as I said.

OK, this links from the Washington Post says 1,100 Porsches were on board.
https://www.washingtonpost.com/busin...bentley-ocean/
This link from USA Today also says 1,100 Porsches were on board:
https://www.usatoday.com/story/news/...an/6842550001/

Porsche produces roughly 272,000 cars per year. Information on US sales:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Porsche
https://www.best-selling-cars.com/br...les-worldwide/

Porsche sold a bit over 70,000 cars in the US in 2021.

It's all the same company. They merged like 10 years ago.

Everyone will say since VW is the parent company of Porsche, Lamborghini, Bugatti, Bentley, Audi, etc.. they’re all VW’s, yet Porsche AG owns 51% of VW. Porsche and VW was nothing more then a family fight at dinner table.

The wait time to order any Porsche now is long, 911’s are crazy years long now, losing 4k is huge for US dealers. My dealer has 3 cars on the floor and they are all used.

Looks like there in one in stock here. It's also 227k. I swear they just increased the lock in price from a few days ago.

"A huge cargo ship carrying thousands of luxury vehicles from Germany to the United States, including 1,100 Porsches, caught fire this week, forcing all 22 crew members to abandon ship and leave the vessel adrift in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean.

A fire broke out Wednesday morning on the Felicity Ace, a ship about 650 feet long, near Portugal’s Azores Islands, according to the Portuguese navy. The ship had departed from Emden, Germany, on Feb. 10 and was scheduled to complete its 13-day trip and arrive in Davisville, R.I., next week, according to VesselFinder, a ship tracking website. The Volkswagen Group estimated that nearly 4,000 cars were aboard the Felicity Ace, according to the Drive, an automotive website."

"The fire was still burning on the ship as of Friday, according to the Portuguese navy, and photos showed white smoke billowing out of the vessel. Joao Mendes Cabecas, a captain of the nearby port of Hortas, told Reuters that lithium-ion batteries in the electric cars on the Felicity Ace caught fire, but it was unclear whether that is what started the blaze."

Exactly. Known and preventable cause. So... negligence. This is exactly why you have to disable lithium battery chargers in "smart" luggage before you board a plane.

4000 cars, only 1100 Porsches

911's are long waits but it wasn't 1100 911's

I'm trying to secure a new 911 GTS now.

Likely you are getting a blob of burnt metal and plastic/glass.

Re-read:

4000 cars on the boat.

Including 1100 Porsches, 189 Bentleys. The rest of the 2711 cars were VW/Audi cars/SUVs

So 70,000 cars sold in the US, 1100 aren't going to make it which means about 1.5% of US sales.
I'd call that a blip.
