An Uber driver and mother Christi Spicuzza of 4 of Monroeville Pennsylvania was killed after begging for her life and telling the murderer she had 4 children. Suspect said he 'had family too'. Much of the act was caught on. a dash cam before the murderer grabbed it. The suspect had his girlfriend call the Uber for him. It was an execution with one shell casing near body found face down
That criminal's girlfriend is just as culpable as he is. Her idiotic choice to put her thoughts into writing should be enough to at least earn a few years in the slammer. ("I'm not going to go to jail if we get caught." That tells me that she knew that her boyfriend was planning on at least robbing/carjacking an UBER driver, if not murdering her.)
Cold comfort to the family of a woman who was just going about her business to make a living for herself and her family.

Still unclear what was he seeking- a car, jewelry, cash from an uber driver? They also to be killed liked that during a robbery is rare ie single shot execution.
Absolutely sick. That disgusting pos should never even have been on the streets. Wth is wrong with these judges who keep letting these thugs loose on the public! Have they caught the equally pos girlfriend?

As an Uber driver in retirement I take notice of stories like this. But just as I feel about stories of people dying in car wrecks I just can't let it affect me. Life is full of tiny risks, you can't live scared. But of course I do stick to the safer places and times but there's always a risk when you leave your house.
What a sick individual. And yes I believe the girlfriend should be charged with murder just as the driver in a bank robbery that goes bad is charged.
This case is local to me, as well, and there's been a lot of talk about how Uber has made strides in making safety a priority for a customer, but not so much for the drivers. DaveinMtAiry probably knows better, but from what I've read drivers don't want to risk their ratings by rejecting customers and there's no mechanism to report problematic pickups or to verify customer IDs.
