Different tasks required under the circumstances make the cold more difficult to deal with than in other sports even if the cold is less.

I don't think that you have any feel for the real problem you face in US football, hint...there is no defense in the biathalon.

It's a sport. The more clothing you wear the less aerodynamic you are. Over that distance that makes a heck of a difference.

I'm not sure I would tell anyone beyond my doctors and significant other if I were him. This isn't a new sport. Surely, there is a 'professional' way to handle this problem.
