Remi Lindholm, 24, of Finland, spent over an hour traversing the shortened men's 50km mass start free race in brutal temperatures and howling winds, causing his penis to become frozen, Reuters reported.
"You can guess which body part was a little bit frozen when I finished ... it was one of the worst competitions I've been in," Lindholm told Finnish media. "It was just about battling through."
...

After the race, Lindholm said he needed a heat pack to thaw out his downstairs appendage.
"When the body parts started to warm up after the finish, the pain was unbearable," he added.

Sounds worth it to me

I noticed the outfits they make these athletes wear. They are really thin and body fitting. The thing I also noticed is that some guys were ONLY wearing the uniform mandated instead of wearing something underneath. I don't know who comes up and approves the ideas about the outfits these people wear, but I remember an instance where some pervert mandated that the women wear some outfits that made it look like they were completely, naked a few years back, It's not like they can refuse. They should be allowed to wear as many layers under their clothing as necessary. This is becoming a health issue as we have now seen.

"it was one of the worst competitions I've been in,"

I'm really curious what the absolute worst was then.

I'd think something like that happening would leave a mark.

Yeah, if that happened, and has happened before, but doesn't happen to other participants, he might need to better dress for the weather.

There would have been an interesting way to defrost it.
