If we are talking G-8 Russia would come out on top. Of course its not the G-8 anymore.
All I was doing was responding to one post about gun homicides of G-8 countries. It’s not complicated. My question was already asked and answered. And obviously you can’t count on real statistics from Russia but I’m sure they would be on top. Heck, they’d be on top in gun homicides too if it relied on real statistics.
I think that a homicide rate overall not just by guns would be more representative unless you are just anti gun and pushing a political agenda.

Your wish is granted, but you are not going to like that data any better. Countries that have a lot of guns like the United States and Mexico, have a lot of people killed with those guns.

United States 4.96
Canada 1.76
United Kingdom 1.20

That information is outdated. They are using stats that are 4 or more years ago. Hover above a country and you will see that. Also look at the resource dates.
Oh #55 out of 167, what a safe country. That means that the majority of the countries in the world are safer than the US, including a lot of the Third World.

I don't get anything in my browser when I hover over the countries. Regardless, you really think the situation has improved in the last four years? The problem with violence and homicides in this country has been going on a very, very long time, and it's only getting worse.

We are a big country. Lots of very safe places and lots of dangerous places. I chose to live in a very safe community.

I don't know if it has or hasn't, probably has for some things and hasn't for other things, but stats from 4 or more years ago are too old. I know other incidents related to accidental deaths, vehicle accidents, work related accidents, dui's, substance abuse, school shootings, mass shootings, murders, assaults, etc., have in the past 4 years so anything is possible.
Is there a break down of current stats from every country? I think there is a site that has all that and I believe it includes 2020 data and even some 2021 data. It's posted on another older thread somewhere but I don't know if I can find it. If I can find it I will post it.
Well, those 2 not so bright Hoosiers were very, very fortunate.
When driving in Mexico, stay on federal highways; never drive at night.
If you decide to venture off, there are websites updated weekly on where not to drive.
Actually, it's pretty safe; barring local back roads in certain areas.
The area they were in was one of the few, they should have known this ahead by performing internet research.
