It’s also possible that they did not know all the details of the case at the time that they published the story. Other sources call it a variety of things. There are a couple of others that say kidnapped, some say vanished, some say she was trafficked from the game. The latter 2 being more accurate. But like I said, when many of them simply rely on digital sources, and no one is actually investigating stories anymore, this is what happens. They probably published what they thought to be true at the time.
The quote was from a spokesman for the Oklahoma Police Department, on an NBC website.

There are all kinds of problems kids can fall into. This problem is a girl who would prefer to live as a prostitute with this gang of traffickers, than live in whatever her home situation is. It's not a problem of a girl who went to a sporting event with her dad and was grabbed and dragged off and held captive.

Whatever situation she is in at home, needs to be looked at and rectified, because she has bonded with a group of pimps instead of her caregiver.

The victim blaming on this forum is over the top sometimes. A majority of the people that make statements like this have never interacted with criminals (at any level) or have a true understanding of what goes on in these cases. The fact of the matter is, this is a huge business, and like any business, they employ excellent sales people, who can (and do) convince children of all ages to do unspeakable things (obviously, those promises never come true, and their fates are much worse).

Every 15 y.o American girl knows by now everything about sex, on-line dangers from the unknown people and that if you come to the event with your parent you suppose to tell them where you going and with whom instead of leaving with 2 males.

You are tired of”victims” blaming?
Some of us are tired that everyone is considered the victim, as if the 15 y.o absolutely has no brain whatsoever and grew up in a jungle with wolves

I am NOT victim blaming.

I'm saying, this is a different problem from a girl who went to the restroom and was grabbed and carted off.

This is a problem, and she's a victim of a prostitution ring.

She ran away last year, with an acquaintance and two teen boys who were in foster care, and was located and reunited with her family after about 4 days. This girl is a tragedy waiting to happen, and if they are unable to keep her from hooking up with evil on TikTok, it won't end so well next time she chooses to gravitate toward the rotten underbelly.

She left her phone at home, so she couldn't be traced when she left the stadium.

I don't know what relationship she has to foster care, it's not clear, but those kids are extremely vulnerable to being victimized, and she has shown herself also to be vulnerable.

Who said she prefers to live as a prostitute? Who are you to determine that she knew what she was getting going into? I haven’t seen one thing that states this girl knew what was going to happen to her.

You probably haven't crawled around on the seamy underbelly of the internet.

I don't know why she chose to leave, and live in an apartment complex with these vile traffickers, but that's what she chose. It's possible, like many young teen prostitutes, she was in love with her pimp. I don't know.

I don't know what has happened to her, in her life, but it's broken girls who are easy targets for traffickers, because they have emotional needs that traffickers can fill.

We may know that she deliberately left with the person but we do not know that she chose to live with them once she knew what was going on there. That is simply an assumption on your part.

Wasn’t she in a hotel being pimped out? Is that the same as choosing to live in an apartment complex with traffickers?

Do you have links to what you’ve learned about this girl?

No matter where the girl stayed - she didn’t ask anyone for help - if this is not what she wanted to do.

It is actually easier to ask for help in the hotel than in a private apartment - if she was held against her will: thin walls, housekeepers, supervisors are going around, maintenance people, other guests.

My understanding that the only reason she was found - is due to facial recognition software.

It doesn’t look like she was even attempting to get out.
