Folks..check that link I provided above....more products being recalled containing that peanut butter...like the Ritz crackers with peanut butter, etc.

I buy Reese's peanut butter cups and so far they aren't mentioned. Got a bag in the fridge I'm not touching ..yet

Most people won’t. Only 14 people got sick. But they don’t have a choice but to recall all the lots that could be affected.

Whoops, I just finished the last of a 40 oz bottle from a twin pack with one of the recalled codes. Can I still get a refund? Unfortunately, I donated the other bottle to the mail carrier's food drive -- was it last weekend or weekend before? So I'm sure it got tossed. Hmph.

Recalls happen after the fact. So if you aren't sick by now then you dodged the bullet.

Oh, how it would hurt my heart to throw away Reese's peanut butter cups for any reason...

Didn't take long....class action lawsuit against smuckers

https://wpde.com/news/local/charlest...nella-outbreak
Attorneys from Poulin | Willey believe they are the first to have filed a lawsuit on behalf of consumers who purchased Jif products recalled for potential Salmonella contamination, according to a release from the law firm.

Same here. As I said, a person is probably more likely to get food poisoning from a sandwich at a fast food joint than get sick from salmonella in peanut butter.

Two jars of JIF, one half-eaten and the other just bought, and both of them were on the list. Sigh. To the trash can they went.

I've been using JIF peanut butter as bait on my mouse-traps in the garage. I noticed they managed to snatch the peanut butter on a couple without springing the traps.
Hopefully their celebration is short-lived if that peanut butter had salmonella.
