Probably not a big chance of that. I was walking in Sabino Canyon in Arizona which is popular with tourists and there was a group of people surrounding a rattlesnake they came upon. Trying to get a close up photo with their phones. What could go wrong?

Jeez, can't they just leave the poor snake alone? If I see a snake, I go around it. That way, neither of us is stressed. In parts of Texas, rattlesnakes have stopped rattling, so the feral hogs can't find and eat them, which makes it even more important to not bother snakes.
We once had dogs and cats for a purpose; guard, hunting, hearding, mousing, etc. We loved them but respected them as animals. Now is whose momma widdle fur baby. We dress them up in human clothes, paint their nails, put bows in their hair and send them off to doggie daycare. We post TikTok videos of them talking in silly voices, we have to bring them with us to grocery shopping or to fly/travel, we throw birthday parties for them, etc.
So what if people want to do that what does that have to do with someone getting too close to a bison in order to get a picture of video?
We dress our dogs up for Halloween parties it's fun our party guest like to see the costumes. We had several different dogs over the years some pure bread others rescues cats also I don't see why people hate others for wanting to love a pet. If someone wants to bring their dog on vacation so what maybe that dog is all they have in life. I grew up in the 70's we always treated our pets as a family member cats and dogs were allowed inside they got the best care we could get for them. They were never mistreated or kept outside chained up.

The tendency to treat animals as though they are smaller, cuter animal versions of humans is a good part of the reason many people think it's ok to approach wild animals nowadays. Lines have become blurred and they see pretty much all animals as cute and harmless, anthropomorphism is not just 'love'.

I agree with you. People having animals as cherished pets has been around for tens of thousands of years. It has nothing to do with stupid people approaching wild animals and getting hurt by them.

No hate here. I have several pets myself, I take them places with me, they sleep on my bed and on the couches. I dont care if people treat their pets like humans. Much better than mistreating them. Just making a point. We anthropomorphize our pets to the 1000 degree. Halloween costumes and parties, treating them like real children.
Too many people also anthropomorphize wild animals in much the same way, mostly in their head, then wonder why they are injured or killed when they get too close. I just wish people would respect wildlife for being wild and not act as though they were Disney characters.

I'm not sure why you think it bothers me.
I'll reiterate.
Many people, especially in first world countries, have come to greatly anthropomorphize their pets. This same mind set does not always stop with pets, but bleeds over into wild animals because people y have come to attribute human characteristics and behaviors to all animals. Including animals in Yellowstone and other natural areas, in the wild, in zoos, etc. I believe this mind set does indeed contribute to the problem of people getting injured by animals. They forget that they are animals.
