Then maybe you need to do some research as to what is a "state park."
The Adirondacks in NY State is a 6 million acre mix of public and private lands and is a high draw for outdoor recreation. But you better understand that if you come here you stand a good chance of coming face to face with the wildlife that proliferates in northern NYS, and that includes bear, bobcats, coyotes and moose.
No different than the state park in Texas where this incident happened.
If they put a bison herd in the Adirondacks, I would be just as opposed. None of the animals you mention are a problem. Any of those animals except maybe the moose will run away from humans. If they don't run away then bear spray would be more than enough deterrence to keep them away from you. Spraying bear spray at a bison would just make it angry and then it would kill you.
I just don't understand why anyone would allow themselves to get that close to bison. I really don't understand.
They do it every day. Here, nice bison, nice bison!! Pat pat. I wish I could say it's hard to believe that anyone could be that stupid, unfortunately stupid is the rule not the exception for a lot of these mopes who visit our national parks and don't know a bison from a beagle. Reap what you sow.
"I was charged and gored by a bison because I was too CLOSE to being passing them on a railway," Clark wrote in her caption of the video which received more than 1.8 million views and over 280,000 likes.
In another video, Clark explained how the bison rammed her back, gored her and threw her into a mesquite bush. She said she was there for 50 minutes until help arrived. Clark had limited phone service and no access to 911.

Bison and humans should not be in the same space.
Yep, people shouldn't be in these reserves treating it as Jurassic Park. You go in, know the risks. Carry a BIG firearm.
This seems to be happening more and more often now. It’s usually in Yellowstone NP, where they actually give you a brochure at the gates about how far to keep away from various wildlife. Lots of Darwin Award winners out there.

It must be the “me crowd” with women wanted to be objectified on social media. “Look at me, look at me” and boom as bison run her over with irritation. In physics this is called “lunatic equilibrium”
