Shivley Kentucky police department officer arrested charged with 20 counts of speeding 26 miles per hour over the speed limit.
At least 8 times he would take his 3-year-old child with him and speed over 100 mph. He would also use his emergency lights to move cars out of the way when he wasn't on an emergency call.
Nothing in that article mentions a car seat for the child, never mind the obvious idiocy of speeding at 100 mph just so people will get out of his way.
Maybe they can put him in the same cell as Jamie Lee Komoroski.

This story reminds me of the only time I have ever been pulled over here in Oregon, since I've been living here. I went shopping in a nearby town. On the way back a white SUV came up fast behind me and started tailgating me on the mountain road. I thought okay, if he is in that big a hurry, I will speed up. I sped up from 10 mph over the speed limit to 21 mph over. But he stayed right behind me. I lost him on a couple of curves, but then he caught right back up to me. I slowed down and stayed in the right lane when I got to the passing lane, and I expected him to pass me. But by that time he was way behind me. Just as I was getting to the bottom of the mountain I noticed he was right on my bumper again. At that point I sensed that something was wrong and started wondering if he was a cop or something. Sure enough red and blue lights started flashing and I pulled over. I was sure I was going to get a ticket. I told him the only reason I sped up was because he was on my bumper. He seemed a little offended that I would say that. But after some back and forth, he let me off with a warning.
Since then I have figured out that he is a deputy sheriff who uses a patrol car to commute in from out of the county. I see him on the highway every morning at that exact same time. I always watch out for him. Every time I see him he is always driving 20 - 25 mph over the speed limit. Yet he had the nerve to pull me over for speeding. At least he had the decency not to give me a ticket. But that probably had more to do with this being a small town. Cops here generally don't give tickets to locals. They go after the tourists.

In Oregon, on the narrow winding mountain roads, there are frequent "turn-outs" and if you are going slower than the traffic behind you, you are supposed to pull into one of those turn-outs and let them pass. You don't speed up over the speed limit and let them chase you.
