Definitely would have made a great "Dukes Of Hazzard" stunt driver. I swear I could hear the Dixie horn sounding off while that vehicle was flying through the air.
They will no doubt pin this on the driver, but that is terrible traffic control. You don't just park a roll back truck in the fast lane like that. The highway patrol should have directed the recovery vehicle to go to the next exit turn around come back and park on the side were the emergency vehicles were already staged. If they determined that the best or only way to recover the vehicle was from the other side of the freeway, then one of the patrol cars should have gone and parked behind the roll back to move traffic over. Or better yet they should have called for a DOT truck with an flashing arrow board to come and shut that lane down. Or at very least the roll back truck should have pulled off the pavement and into the median. Any of those solutions could have prevented this from happening.

Thank you . Some are so ready to blame the driver. Why no cones and flashing police car to warn drivers to move into the next lane.

Well, to be fair, had that wrecker not been parked right there, she would have probably careened through the median and hit another car head-on in the opposite direction.
21-year-old girl obviously texting or messing with her phone jumps her car off the back of a roll back wrecker parked with the flat bed down. Reports are she sustained serious injuries but will recover. When are people going to learn to stop playing with a phone while driving. This is how people get killed when they are parked on the side of a highway, or Freeway Ill drive on flat tire until I get off the freeway. I don't care what damage it does to the rim not worth one's life trying to change a flat on the side of the highway.
Why on earth did they not at least have cones up?? For that wrecker to be sitting in that lane - that is just waiting for an accident. Yes the driver should have been able to avoid it had she been paying proper attention, but damn. Whoever was responsible for that tow truck being in that lane, should have their head rattled!
