The simulation was carried out on a computer, no actual drones or missiles. But that does not change the fact that the AI decided to eliminate it's human controller to maximize its score.

The military-industrial complex in America is HUGE.

We have dozens of commands that operate drones. that train drone operators, and run simulators.

Plus we have hundreds of corporations that produce drones, and that must run simulators all the time in order to compete to be awarded the latest contracts.

There is no way that any single command could possibly know, all of the simulators that are currently being run.
