Geeeeez... That's about one per second. For an hour!!! Imagine...
An Australian fitness enthusiast recaptured a Guinness World Records title by performing 3,249 pushups in one hour.
Scali said his next goal is to recapture another record he formerly held: the longest time in an abdominal plank position. Currently 9 hrs, 38 mins, 47 secs hold by Josef Šále
3,249 pushups? Is that it? First time I was in the Philippines I did pushups from 2400 hours until 0600 hours. Of course, I had my Filipina helping me out. I'm pretty sure I broke that 3,249 per hour record. "Attitude is everything"
Really impressive! He previously held the record, then another Australian broke it, and now it's his again. Next he is going to try to break the record for holding plank position, which is over 9 hours, 38 minutes! I can barely make it 30 seconds.
What counts as a complete pushup is an interesting conversation. In the Navy, a complete pushup is full body up and then down to where your arms are at least at a 90 degree angle, which is what this guy is doing; it doesn't look that it from the side angles in the video but it does look that way when you see him head on.
This article has the same definition of what counts as a complete pushup:
Quote:
Here's how to complete one perfect repetition of a proper push up: With your arms straight, butt clenched, and abs braced, steadily lower yourself until your elbows are at a 90-degree angle or less. Depending on your level of experience, age, and flexibility, 90 degrees might be the lowest you're able to go.
But that's always looked off to me and I've struggled with doing the bare minimum and always go down much lower
Still, very impressive.
