I'll play in the dirt Karla, I miss dirt and planting! Oh well it will be planting weather soon up here
Today is phone call day, trying to reach my doctors office to find out if they got my medical records and then a few other calls that I could not reach yesterday. I also have to finish up my files, just a few tweaks, and re-organize the front closet. Then I will settle in and read my new book.
We have ice this morning, glad it is Bob's day off, most of the schools in DeKalb County are closed and Ft. Wayne is a skating rink. Darn and I have to get to the store this morning also, oh well I can drive slow through town and it won't be so bad, wait until it gets light out
It will be DVD day today, no outside walking (afraid Cassy will slip and fall, or me!).
Location: Finally made it to Florida and lovin' every minute!

Good morning, you two.
Feeling sleepy, but just couldn't sleep for some reason. I think I need to make some coffee here in a minute.
No dirt for me, thank you. Since I was a kid, I've never liked getting dirty. It drives DH crazy for some reason.
Going to Punta Gorda to this neat place for lunch with some of "the girls" today. I have to call Jean and find out what time we're supposed to leave; I didn't write down the time.
Sandy, you stay safe. Don't go into the store till it's safe, ok?
I'm reading a Harlan Coben book; hated to put it down last night, but I was falling asleep. It's No Second Chance. Good one.
Anyway...think I'll go say hi at OOH, get my coffee and settle on the couch till His Majesty wakes up.
Not yet Sandy I want to see how this plays out. I have a feeling there is a big "I told you so" coming when they realize they need a full time person not part time. However I did let it be known to the president that I was not going to step into the head of the FR committee position that my friend informed them last night she would not be able to hold anymore
Be careful with the ice I remember when I lived up north walking out of my front door one morning and going splat on my back
Oh I wish I was playing in the dirt again... gonna be a while before I see the grass let alone start digging. The Dr. assured me that I can't get Blastomycosis again... so I'll be out there in Spring planting the two (maybe three) beautiful trees I'm going to buy.
Sandy wait until the plows roll through before venturing out to the store. The ice here has been a bugger for drivers.
Well today I'm going to go and have my chaps taken in before riding season is upon us. Then I'm off to buy a frame for a photo I took. I'm actually framing some of my work now and putting it on the walls!
I'll be walking later today since the weather people said it'll be sunny later.
I really don't think it is all that bad in town, just the country roads. Cars are coming and going on the road going into town here. Poor Cassy while I was picking up poo she walked out to the sidewalk and went down, could not get back up and when she did she snorted and walked to the door. Sigh I think she was a little more than shocked at it! She seems to be walking okay in the house though.
Your photos are wonderful Sue, are you just framing the photos or is your art work included? I admire someone with artistic ability, it went out the door with me...........
One phone call down and hopefully I will hear from doctors office this morning.
We had quite a bit of snow on the ground. Yesterday was in the low 40's with a light rain. It was 24 when I got up. Why was I not expecting the ice? Every morning Shadow & I go out first thing. Good thing I let her go first! She went much faster than I go and she did manage to make it down the steps to the driveway before she went sliding. The look on her face was priceless! Probably about the same as the one I had on my face, as I slid right about the same time. Fortunately I still had my hand on the door knob and I did not go down. I reached in and grabbed the bag of salt and sprinkled away. By the time I took a shower & got dressed there was no more ice on the back porch, steps, or the part of the driveway that I treated. Amazing stuff, and it ought to be for $11 for a 25 pound bag. Note to self - start using the front door, that porch is covered AND has railing all the way around.
Shadow & I did manage a walk. The road is o.k., but all of the sidewalks are under a thin but persistent layer of ice. Shadow's favorite place to walk? Why, down the center stripe of course. She was in heaven!
I am feeling a little better today. I spent all day yesterday sitting on the couch, blowing my nose. Either that part is over or I finally took enough Claritin.
In a few minutes we will go visit the cookie ladies, then I have to hit the grocery store. They are calling for more accumulating snow starting over night tonight and all day tomorrow and into tomorrow night. I have seen forecasts for a total of 1-3 inches and forecasts for 4-6 inches, depending on which weather source I am looking at. I don't like to go out & drive in that if I don't have to so errands will get done today.
Afternoon ladies
yay it dried enough that we were able to take 2 of the classes outside to plant veggie seeds in the raised beds
we planted
lettuce
carrots
beets
radishes
Each class is going to have there own bed so it will be a fun competition between them
I have to work on the books for work then heading off to the exercise room
Well whoever planted the beets and carrots is gonna lose! There are some radishes that get done in 21 days, but for some reason I never have any luck with them.
Today I only did a short core workout-my back is a little tight from the stuff I did yesterday, so had to do a sort of easy one.
Everything is closed around here too, even though it looks very normal out there!
Karla, did you make balloon animals at the kid's birthday party? Little kids love that!
Anyway, off to find some food, so have a good day all.
