It is suppose to be sunny and only reaching the low 80's
Our friends won't be able to meet us for breakfast so not sure if we are going to go anyway
This is the last day of the TPC Players Championship Golf tournament and it is right down the street from where we go to breakfast
So I am going to check the tee-off times because I don not want to get stuck in the traffic
I may tackle the guestroom and get some cleaning done
With as crazy as last week was lets just say I could probably build a dog or 2
yikes that just reminded me my sister is dropping her dog off on her way to work today. She is going to see my nephew & his wife after work in Tallahassee after work and won't be back till Tuesday
She wants go get up there now because we are now on the "2 week baby watch" and she might not get another chance
Wow it just seems like yesterday that we found out my niece was expecting and in just a couple weeks I will be a "great Aunt"
What fun things do you all have planned for today ?

I know, Karla...those 9 months go by fast...for everybody but the mother, I think! But I know you'll be a "great" aunt, no matter what.
I think there's a Costco trip in my future today. They have my omeprazole on sale (coupon) so I'll get several boxes to keep me going for a while. Might as well. Got all the housework done.....
We got about 3/4" rain last night while the co. was here and a little more this a.m. Not sure if we'll see more today or not. Tuesday is supposed to be a high of 82....that'll be a nice break.
OK, gotta run, check out the other threads, call Mom and then take my shower. Enjoy the day, all.

So pretty, Karla. I love the deep color of the sunflowers. We had one that color this year, too. They're pretty well, gone, tho, since they faced the south they got a bit overheated and, with no rain....
pattie This is the first year I have tried the "decorative" sunflowers
They are getting a bit top heavy and I had to stake them
I love the colors
You might know will the what looks like possible flower buds up and down the stems bloom?
I would love to cut some to put in a vase but didn't want to end up with just leaves at the top
Hummm pretty flower beds Karla and I would guess with the sunflowers this tall now what are they going to look like next month! I think I mentioned this before but my Mom planted a pointsettia outside and it grew up almost to the roof! Lol, it was huge.
Not sure what my day will hold, it is cold and raining out not the best of days, I even turned on the heat for a few because my feet are freezing, we will see what I feel like in a few hours.
I did see on the news about the food drive the 6:00 news, I bet I missed the earlier one this week. Shame I should have just put the food out there, taking your word for it. Well there is always the food bank down the street I can just drop off a bag.
I'm back lol
We ended up going down to the beach for breakfast anyway
Very entertaining watching the folks on the side of the road trying to sell their extra tickets
some had those canopy tent things one lady stood there holding her what looked like a 2 yr old
Stopped at walmart to pick up a few things The prices at our Publix seem to have gone so much higher recently we can save a lot by buying pantry type items there instead
I picked up a "shrub rake" it is only 5 or 6" so I will be able to get into tight places it will be good for when I need to move the mulch to re do beds instead of the huge rake pulling out plants too
It is still kinda cool out there so I think I am going to go move the blackeyed susans
Might even start working on pulling the "bazillion" baby elm trees that have sprouted on the other side of the front lawn. I can mow them but the root system will still be developing and take the nutrients & water from the grass
Well the Michigan rain seems bent on ruining my day! Oh well the flowers and grass need this, next week it is supposed to be nice again.
Karla, I too have been buying in bulk when I can. My grocery bill seems to have doubled in the past month! I know I buy extra for the kids but they are so skinny and little and don't eat much, besides they are only home for one meal anyway! I think I might look into extreme coupon buying and see what that brings (if I have the patience to do it).
Have blown off Church this morning, I don't want to get out in the cold rain and have not moved from the computer. Best finish my smoothie and get ready for the day.
Shadow & I have been for an nice, long, slightly drizzly walk on the Greenway this morning. Later we will plop on the couch for the race.
Love the sunflowers!
I try to buy as much as I can at Sam's. All paper products, cleaning supplies, non perishables, and frozen foods are much more cost effective to buy in bulk. Every couple of months I will roast a turkey, eat on it for a couple of days, then make soup that I put in individual serving size containers and freeze for quick lunches or "I-don't-feel-like-cooking" dinners. Per pound, turkey is usually the cheapest meat.
lol Evey, I thought the oil slicked wrestlers had kidnapped you! Is it as cold and rainy down there as it is up here. I have to get my costco membership again, buying that in bulk is much more cost effective, and the meat tastes better than the grocery store stuff here, looking for a butcher shop now.
