No kidding, that cake sounds yummy! My sister made a strawberry cake for one of her daughters one year, it was really good--and she made a chocolate cake for me! Our birthdays are 3 days apart--her daughter's and mine.

Karla, I'll bet they are going to be impressed at PT at how good of shape you're in! All that treading on the mill and riding on the bike! They can get right to the good stuff!

Did a 20 minute upper body workout today--had a plumber over this morning to fix the kitchen drain, now i have to put all that stuff back underneath there after it airs out for a while...

Have fun at the horseshow, Evey! Wish we could all be there to cheer you on! You have experience on your side, I don't think being young has many advantages when it comes to riding.

Forgot to tell you guys...

DH saved a turtle yesterday - a Florida Soft Shelled Turtle. He was on the road in our community, just around a bend. We were afraid he'd get run over, so we got out and he picked the big guy up and brought him to the pond. Man, once he saw that water, his little legs just started a paddlin' and he all but jumped out of DH's arms! Hubster put him down and he sprinted right down into the water and paddled his little butt away. Hubby said he's never seen a turtle move that fast in his life! We looked it up online and it said that they really are fast critters.

Morning ladies

Well PT was boring they were running late so I had to sit for almost 30 mins lol and we all know how much I like sitting around so I started a text a thon with CD who is in Atlanta
Once they called my name the PT lady did the evaluation
ok so she said she thinks this is why I am having back issues
I am sorta flat foot & the left foot more so, she said that is causing the left leg to be a tad longer when I am standing and I guess over time and activity this can aggravate the lower back muscles

She showed me 4 "core" strengthening and stretching exercises
She also suggest a arch support for the left foot
We have a place here called "the good foot store" where you can get them
I asked can it go into any shoe especially sandals
She said she wasn't sure about the sandals but that the store sold special sandals
yeah lol I have seen those sandals and they look like "really old lady shoes"
So I will stop by to see if they have something that can be used in regular sandals maybe attached with a bit of velcro that I can swap from shoe to shoe

This may sound "stubborn" but no I am not giving up all my cute summer wedgie sandals
She did say strengthening my core will also help so yup I will do that

Back was really sore last night which she warned me is normal

She said no to the treadmill for the next week but yes on the bike as long as I situp straight and don't lean over the handlebars

lol I didn't ask about mowing going for the "opps forgiveness not permission" stand
