Went for follow-up. Everything is okay, I guess. But, I was sick as hell all day. Luckily, most of it hit after I got home. This is getting ridiculous, but at least I'm able to croak out a few words here and there, although the last one usually ends in a gag.
sigh so much for a MIL free day she called all in a panic because when she called to turn off the alarm at the old place they said she needed to refax the cancellation letter with "turn it off now added" and she wrote all over it and she doesn't have a fax
ok maybe one of you can explain this why when I was helping her do the address changes and would give OUR last name she would start spelling it for me ***shakes head*** it has been my last name for almost 10 years i think I can spell it by now
Pattie thats why my walking & running is on a treadmill for now until the weather cools down. Too many people out when it is early enough not to melt
Ccm123 it says your form the SF bay area that must be a really fun place to run lots to see. Is it really as foggy as you hear ?
Connie do they have any idea why your still feeling so sick with being done with the radiation & chemo ?
Here is somethign you might try instead of talking the words try singing I know it sounds weird but there was this one time when I lost my voice and was driving in the car and when a song came on I automatically went to sing along and it worked I think it uses different muscles. also they say don't try to whisper cause that causes more strain on the vocal cords
Thanks, Karla, I'm good on books. They are saying it is normal to feel this bad/the worst for up to 2 weeks following radiation. Then it is slow improvement--that is the problem, it is going to be really slow. He said he doesn't want to start me on any new meds when I am 1. going off some of the other ones, 2. starting to get better, 3. I'd have to face the side effects from new drugs. He said maybe the oncology doctors will suggest something. As sick as I was yesterday, after I got home [naturally], if it affected my weight, they'll do something.
I'll try singing. They told me,too, that whispering is not good at all.
Omg Pattie now that I made a comment to her about telling me how to spell it has become I guess in her mind a fun joke so now she does it constantly
Connie will they be doing a pet scan to check to see if the cancer is all gone
I imagine so, but they haven't set anything up yet.
