Came home, sat around. Around midnight I took the dog for a short walk/jog around the neighborhood. It's very nice out for this time of the year. Went out in only a light fleece pullover and gloves. I hear tomorrow we're going to get dumped on with snow though.
Ryan, hard to believe you were able to finish your work-out after a Deadlift? What is that?

Here's a video clip of a big, crazy Icelandic dude going for a world record deadlift (it's kind of funny):
YouTube - Benedikt Magnusson 970lb Deadlift

Deadlifts are one of the best, if not the best freeweight exercises for gaining strength. I hurt my hip over the summer doing them with a little more weight than I should've and going out of form. I took some time off doing them and started back up with lower weight to work myself back up and just recently I've gotten back up to something resembling a respectable weight. A deadlift pretty much works all the major muscle groups in one way or another. They also get a lot of testosterone flowing.

You're never too old, Karla. I used to go to a bodybuilding gym when I was a teenager, that place was kind of funny. Chalk, tobacco spittoons and Zubaz pants everywhere. It actually was a cool place and I've thought about going back, but it's a little too serious for me at this point. I'm about 180 and 5'8", so I'm not a very big guy, don't want to feel inadequate!

Sometimes it's good to let your knuckles drag a little.
