I think it is safe to say that we are all freezing this morning

Pattie is the furthest south and they are 34 with feels like of 26

Right now we are 28 with a feels like of 18 I took a peek and there was a little frost on top of the car at 5 am

The extended forecast says it won't be until Tuesday till we are above freezing in the mornings

The only "good" thing is we will have less critters come summer
If your lawn gets burned by the frost, for some strange reason the weeds will stay green so it makes it easy to pull them out .

Heading out to breakfast then we are on a mission to find a Rubbermaid type container that will hold the bottom part of the tree I think it has to be 4' long I suggested that the top 2 sections of the tree be removed so we can measure the bottom section to be sure

I don't know what else is on the list for today other than staying warm !!!

What is on your list for today ?

That is an excellent idea for tree storage! I just might join into the hunt, our tree box is torn and almost ready to be tossed. Have to tell hubby that!
My usual day, clean, laundry and bills. Maybe a few movies in there sure not going outside. Not sure what our temp is but they were predicting 15 for the low last night.
I have the newest Harry Potter movie just waiting for me to have a few hours so if I get motivated early I can watch that this afternoon
I'll be back later to catch up on all of you!

It actually stayed a little warmer here last night than the 31 they predicted. It's 38 now. Tonight is supposed to go to 27, last I heard.

We lost electricity here and there this morning for about 5 or 6 times, only for a few seconds each time. Of course, I was trying to make coffee and cook oatmeal at the time - not the instant stuff, but the 5 minute kind.

We're supposed to go to Costco today, since we didn't go the last time we planned. DH isn't feeling too great, tho, so it may be delayed again. He thinks he has a cold coming on.

The Swiss Steak turned out great. Karla, I suppose if you want to make it with gravy, we could call it Karla Steak.

Stay warm, everybody. I'm trying to.

Morning peeps!

Yes Karla, it is cold! Currently 35 with a wind chill of 29.

Shadow & I bundled up & took a long walk this morning. Shadow has always liked a long walk on the coldest day. I had to break out my Carhartt so I didn't freeze my behind off.

Later we are heading to my dad's house for dinner. They are about 70 miles north of us.

Karla steak hmmm lol
hey they have a calzone at the pizza place they call the "karla calzone" it only has mozzarella cheese and a tiny bit of pizza sauce inside

ok well we bought the biggest container we could find that woudl fit up the attic stairs ans we had to drill a hole for the 4" metal spike that goes into the tree stand
But I can now say Christmas is all packed away

When I went over to C/D to let my buddy out the bozo next door to him didn't turn off his sprinkler so his driveway was a skating rink
but then again the landscape bozos that are in charge of our sprinkler system for the entrance to our neighborhood didn't turn them off either so our entrance road was also a skating rink as well as the sidewalk in front of the neighborhood, they also just planted some new annuals in the front beds these are now encased in ice

I have to move a few things back to their homes now that the tree is done then not sure what else I'm going to do today

Must be something going around hubby said he isn't feeling that great
Stay warm everyone

Oh, hello everyone. Stupid cold is kicking my butt. Didn't sleep for diddly, but we got up early and Billy got his flight out this a.m. But, he's stuck in Baltimore now because one of his connecting flights had mechanical trouble. Lucky for him there was a long delay between flights in Atlanta. So...have to wait and see what happens.

Thanks for the info, Sandy. I'm going to check it out right now.

Thanks Sandy. Actually I was thinking it was kind of cheesy. I know when they write articles that are not for an industry publication they try not to use big words or get too technical. The reporter is a dog park friend.
