We are headed out to Church in a few hours and then it will be more packing. Can't really do much special today except take a few hours off and watch a movie. Half is packed and today I am hitting the closets and packing up the vases. Other than the kitchen we are looking pretty bare here. Nothing else planned but seeing as it is a special treat day, maybe we will head to the ice cream store and get a little treat there
Have a good day ladies.

Good morning, all!

Great special day, Karla! Thanks. Not sure how I'll celebrate yet. No social commitments today. Just coffee with Marty and Dick. Definite pool day. Very high humidity (100% right now) and high temps - they say 92. Yesterday, it hit 91.

DH has finally committed to coming home. He's leaving tomorrow, arriving here Tuesday, probably around 6-7 p.m. It'll be nice to have him here. Miss the big ol' lug.

Gotta run. I'll drop in later.

PS - have "fun" packing, Sandy. I'll send good packing thoughts your way.

Hugs.

Thanks Pattie, I am doing it so early that it really is not bad and won't be until the day before we move. Oh and we have to repair two spots on the carpet, I put a cloth with bleach on it and turned the carpet an odd color, we don't want to have to pay for it so it will be a cut and patch method (I'm leaving that to hubby).

Morning peeps!

Well, the heat index hit 97 here yesterday. More of the same in store for today. What a great time to be out painting the house! We finally finished scraping and priming. I already notice a difference in the indoor temp in the afternoons. Seriously, who paints a house dark red? Anywho, my job is the easy part, I get to do all of the cutting in. At least this house does not have a ton of windows, only 14......

Shadow & I have been for a quick walk this morning. Poor thing, she managed to make it around the block, but she drank a whole bottle of water along the way as she scurried through the sun to get to the shade.

Other things on my list for today include laundry and a trip to the dog park.

Maybe they wanted it to look like brick? From far away?!

My dh was actually scraping and did a little primer on our shutters yesterday. I didn't want to say anything and jinx it. Unfortunately the primer is white and the shutters are black and he takes forever to finish a project. And I mean FOREVER. Plus they took the boat out of storage today, so...

Anyway I am about to do the upper body, might do the abs one too--because calories DO count (sorry Karla!) I can tell!

Put in about 30 gladiola bulbs yesterday, and trimmed my snowball bush, plus other miscellaneous stuff.

That's all folks! Have a good Sunday.

Hi everybody.

Oops, I had my calorie day yesterday. Had to go get groceries and had food like Popeyes fried chicken and biscuits and then went to get some ice cream at Sonic. I haven't eaten like that in a long time and afterwards I felt it but it's good to do every once in awhile.
It's still cold here. I wish it would warm up. I'm sick of the heater on all the time.
No exericse today other than arm exercises.

Hi everybody. I hope you had a great day.

Today was supposed to be my "off" day (no exercise), but my husband and I ended up doing about five hours' yard work. We cleaned branches out of a few trees and ended up with five or six large piles of brush. The trees look so much better now, but I didn't do nearly as much with my flower beds as I wanted. All in good time, I guess.

I'm pretty sure I'll feel this tomorrow! I will take tomorrow off (from exercise) and give my muscles a chance to rest.

Can someone please tell me where the weekend went? Can't believe I haven't posted since Thursday!

Good to hear your hubby is on his way home Pattie.

Glad calories don't count today 'cause I'm having a well earned light beer... or two!

I have been gardening my happy hiney off both at home and the greenhouse the last few days. Hubster helped with the mulch today, and we are just a little short. Even though the project isn't complete, I'm going to post some pictures tomorrow. Still need some patio stones and a lot of rocks for the border.
