Jeannie, I am a very sad tonight. I just learned that a friend lost her baby today. She had to have a C-section and the baby did not have a liver and kidney's, so it did not make it. The funeral will not be until Friday, because the mother is still in the hospital. She had been forewarned that this might happen, but the reality is always worse when it happens.

Oh NCN, I am so sorry. I have worked with premature infant's for over 15 years now, and when this type of thing happens, it is always heartbreaking for the family and us. One of our nurses lost her baby on Christmas Eve after a 2 months struggle in the NICU. I will say prayers for your friend and her family.
