Good morning! A bit of a busy day today so an early start. This morning is my daughter's awards ceremony at her school. Both my kids made the principal's list with straight A's. Then, at 11 I have an interview at a very busy pediatrician's office right in town. Very convenient and right up my alley. So whats on your schedule for today? Coffee with sugar in the raw and soymilk......have a great Thursday everyone! Jeannie

Good morning Jeannie and that sounds so wonderful!!!!!!! Congrats to your children-you must be so proud.

Last night (confession time) I ate the delicious fried skin on the chicken! I felt guily all night.

Yog/grape nuts for breakfast.

Good morning.

Breakfast was blueberry pop tarts and a Coke. Ew... listing it sounds like a lot of sugar, but considering how little I eat throughout the rest of the day, it's not that bad.

Had chicken for dinner last night. It was so good the kids got more (even though our rule is if you are going to get more of one thing, you have to get more of it all - that way they have to eat more vegetables too). And, there was none left to bring for lunch today! So, I'll have to figure out what to get. Maybe just a Subway sandwich.

Jeannie - congratulations to the kids! I think we all know how hard that is to do!

Jeannie, Congratulations to the children. An awards program this early in the year. Sounds like a positive school. Hope you get the job. I was wondering how you are adjusting. I got to hear lots of stories of the adjustments transplants got to make. A librarian is almost like a bartender without the booze. I tried to keep it concentrated on books. When they told me about the snakes in their back yard, I would show them the snake books, etc. One of my favorite books to learn about the state is the North Carolina Atlas. I love to look through that book. It has color coded statistical information on such things as how many days one has to use heat. I grew up in the part of the state that used heat the most days. It wasn't the coldest area, but for some reason we had to use heat more days than anywhere else in the state.

Coffee and milk and I am just about to have another one. It is cold!

Hi all...

The awards ceremony was very nice and I believe the interview went well. Of course I'm sure there are other candidates and I won't hear back until the Tuesday after Thanksgiving. 3 to 4 days per week which is exactly what I'm looking for. I hope it works out. I think this is something I really will enjoy.

oatmeal with sliced banana
water with lemons
supplements

low sugar and fat banana yogurt with flaxseed, acai, and Grapenuts

2 1/2 lean pockets
hot chocolate
