Very good morning ladies and friends from a very snowy MN-looks like we will be hunkered down for quite awhile-good thing we like each other!!!

Ai-Angel missed you and glad your celebration went well. I have snuck a cookie tho.

Just steamed loads of shrimp in beer and Old Bay, made the hot spicy dipping sauce, making crab stuffing for huge mushrooms, antipasta platter w/prosciutto/mozzarella balls/provolone/roasted peppers/artichoke hearts/olives/tomatoes/garlic breadsticks-we'll graze tonight.

Making a cheesecake for Mr. L today-yes he will eat it all!! Over a couple of days.

Picked up our crown roast of pork and I think I have half a hog here-thinking of untying and cutting in half or feed the town!

Blessed Christmas all.

Is it really Thursday and is it really Christmas Eve? Wow, but I remember back in September planning our early December vacation and thinking it would never get here and now the vacation is over and tomorrow is the day. I hope we all have a healthier 2010. Merry Christmas fellow food journal friends.

I have gravy mix but we are going shopping, so I will save that for tomorrow. I may buy a ham today too. We haven't had a real ham for ages. I have real sweet potatoes we bought at the corner from a farmer before we went on vacation. They're still good.

I understand it is traditional in this county for everybody to do all their Christmas shopping on this day. I know, it's crazy and we are really finished, but I wouldn't miss this experience in downtown Monroe for anything. We are going off to shop and greet our native neighbors. I bet most of them are almost finished with their shopping too, but they will go down and pretend they are not finished either. I just need to buy Mr. VA a little something. By this age, there is nothing you really need except good health.

Coffee and milk
banana
vanilla low fat yogurt
